Join the Knitalong!

It's time, fellow knitters, for us to get together to translate and knit this wonderful pattern from the Automne 05/06 Phildar Tendances pattern mag!
It's pattern number 20, found on page 24. If you already have the pattern, all you need to do is post a comment, please include your email address, and I'll add you to the KAL! If you need to order the pattern, it is available at Knit-n-Tyme, in French only. I don't speak a word of French, but I think I can understand the pattern...I look to you all for your insights and French knowledge!

To get you going, the pattern calls for 9-13 balls of Phildar Quietude yarn (50% merino, 50% acrylic) or a substitute with gague of 19 sts-27 rows=4" using 6-8 needles, (882-1274 yards total).

The pattern uses size 3 and 4 needles, and a size E4 crochet hook (yes there is a bit of crocheting for the neckline and flower).

Let's get it started!

    Hi Julsey,
Sorry about that. My email address is bee17779 at yahoo dot com and my blog site is http://beeknits.blogspot.com.

By the way, I love how your circular shrug turns out. It's so pretty. And you only use 2 skeins of Caron Simply Soft! I want to make that too but way too much projects as it is now. Sigh. Sometimes I do wish I have like 8 hands so I can knit faster. Hehe.

    Cheers,
    Jade

ok ok ok, i got your message ;)
    count me in.
I'm going to use the Jaeger Shetland Aran from Jannettes Rare Yarns in the color Sage that I added to my stash in late summer. Gauge is right, it is 80% wool 20% alpaca, and I have enough of it. Now I can't wait to start. Yikes.

I usually manage with French patterns, but I'm cust with a second job and would rather sit down and knit than have to think for myself! I already have the pattern and the Quietude yarn in a grey. I've had this project on my "to Translate" list for a few weeks now!

    Hi,

Is anyone out there still knitting this sweater. It is beautiful. Does anyone have a translation available?

I've been trying to translate another sweater pattern I was wondering anyone had any tips on translating when one doesn't really know French?
    Thank you in advance
